This was requested by [info]contend. I thought others might like it too :) It's not exactly the same as the original, but pretty close.

Edited to add a little note:
On the last step, after I pasted the merged layer I did
1) Go to filter>>sharpen>>unsharp mask with these settings:
Amount: 25%
Radius: 1.0 pixels
Theshold: 0 levels
2) Go to filter>>sharpen>>smart sharpen with these settings:
Amount: 12%
Radius: 27.3 pixels
Remove: Lens Blur
Check more accurate
3) Go to edit>>fade smart sharpen>>20%
